BaCk iN tHe SwinG of ThIngS

The beginning of a new year means the beginning of a new semester. I don't do well with change and its alot to handle right now... new apartment, new roommates, new ward, new classes, training for a half marathon, living on an opposite side of provo.... it will take some getting used to.

So much change that I have become very spaztic and forgetful.... for example I only discovered last night that I have no toothpaste at my own apartment.... definitly an essential i would think... and also my new apartment doesn't have any paper towels or napkins (which i need to buy but haven't found the time) which would have come in handy in many situtations yesterday.... like when i was unpacking and realized that my bottle of maple syrup had opened and drenched everything in the same bag as it with maple goodness, or when our garbage dropped gross green goop all over the floor (it honestly looked like toxic hazardass waist), or when my oatmeal overflowed in the micro wave this morning! Has anyone ever had that happen? It drives me crazy when it overflows!!!! ah..... I have never realized how gratefull I am for paper towels.... two gold stars for them.

So far classes have proved to be commical as well. Wanna know what class requires 8 text books, a 10-15 page paper and three tests?....... History of Tourism!!!!!! Come on, that is supposed to be a sleeper class right? New Testement is actually going to be good I can already tell. My professor lived in Jerusalem for five years and he's already talked alot about the sights and history so I'll probably learn alot about it before I go to Israel in May! My Leisure in Comtemporary Society class is just as it sounds... a real bore, its two and a half hours and all we did was watch youtube videos.... easy peasy.

Did I also mention that my new apartment has a beach theme... pictures of paridise and the ocean everywhere!!!!! It makes it even harder to to live in this slurpy!!! (Anyone who has seen Meet the Deedles will appreciate that comment) I was already in warm sunny florida this time last year.... I was not made for snow and cold weather...period The only thing I am looking forward to throughout the remainder of this awful winter is the olympics!!!!! Too bad my dreams of becoming a professional figure skater were crushed over the break as witnessed by my family... so uh hey mom and dad how about those private lessons I've been asking for since I was six. Lesson #1 learn how to stand up on ice with skates on

Yay for being in Florida during the winter months. When it started snowing in Rexburg I realized I had skipped winter last year. It was a sad realization and I wanted to get on a plane back to Orlando. That was the life.

I just signed up Sis for Ice skate lessons. You know you are always more that welcome to join the rest of the 4 year old group.

Meet the Deedles...that takes me back.

As for the figure skating--both you and katherine should still go for that dream, it's never too late :)

8 textbooks? You should do what I did and check as many textbooks for your classes out from the library. I only had to buy one book my last semester because of this plan. I just kept renewing it over and over.

Please take figure skating lessons :)
